The Detroit Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam (DMYS), an organization of the Detroit Mar Thoma Church was formed in 1995 under the leadership of Rev.Jaims Thomas to cater to the spiritual needs of immigrant Mar Thoma youths in Detroit.

The Yuvajana Sakhyam meets every 2nd Saturday of the month @ 6:30 PM with the view that all young people accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. These monthly meetings involve singing christian hymns, bible reading, intercessory prayer, bible study, bible quiz, personality development programs and an open forum for discussion & fellowship.

Over the years, DMYS could extend its support to the community in many ways. Our mission involves helping needy families through our Marriage Aid Fund, Home for Homeless Fund and Medical Aid Fund. The DMYS is also involved in many community services like organizing Blood Donation Drives and conducting Painting Contest for local kids.
